ASUS P8P67 (LGA1155)
Mark: Very bad The good news: Altough this board uses the new UEFI-BIOS from AMI,
it has an compatible layer within to start systems like WinXP or eCs
in the known MBR-way.
The bad news: It doesn't let me install eCs 2.0 or 2.1 from CD
(traps right away after the boot-menu before the white ECS-Logo
in the left upper corner shows up). Its traps in every possible
group setting in the CD-Boot-menu (modern hardware-ACPI, modern
hardware-save mode, older hardware, virtualised hardware).
Tested with many BIOS-Settings.
An already installed eCs runs with "PSD=ACPI.ADD /SMP /APIC" or traps
like the install. (Beware!: no correction possible w/o a second
installed eCs) Even then, there no useable USB, so you have to
use the PS/2-port for a mouse. The onboard-sound and network are
untested. PCISCAN shows that most IRQ-lines are shared between two
devices, mostly USB. Maybe other P67-chipset-mainboards are more
useable. YMMV.
