What way of migration to select?
The system has "migration" mode when new files overwrite old files.
a) some programs are cutted and don't work anymore
b) in any case the users want install the system to fresh hard drive / ssd
Other way - copy directories with the programs.
OS/2 programs don't have migration function so part of programs will not start
after move.
We offer this way:
You install new system to new hard drive.
Migration assistant is collecting information from old disk about installed
software and data for you.
The conference, it's like a flash / flicker. 2 or 3 days and it's over.
In reality, it takes 3-5 monthes, the developers are working,
the speakers are preparing the materials. The organizers are spending efforts.

OS/2 VOICE will be hosting Warpstock Europe 2017 in Rotterdam the Netherlands.
The location will be the Central library. Dates 20 May Saturday and Sunday.

Per Arca Noae's revised release schedule, and as announced at Warpstock 2016, Blue Lion (ArcaOS 5.0) moved into beta testing stage today. The first beta release has been made available to the test team, and we anticipate a rigorous round of installation, modifications, formatting, deletion, disk wiping, and all that other fun stuff which accompanies a healthy beta test.
We do not anticipate a public beta cycle nor are we planning a gamma release or an untold number of release candidates. Instead, we fully expect ArcaOS 5.0 to emerge from beta testing at the end of March and to become generally available at that time.
We wish to thank our loyal supporters, our beta testers, and our development team for their dedication to the Blue Lion project, and look forward to the next 60 days as we ready the next release of OS/2.
Pricing will be made available in the near future. Expect two tiers, much like our subscription service (Personal and Commercial), with the latter including prioritized support and a longer bundled maintenance period. Volume discounts will also be available.
Since the end of 2014 till 2016 the exchange rate of USD was very high
(relating to rouble, graphics)
It was a good chance to move the development of OS/2 to Russia/Ukraine
because many developers could agree to work for salaries in "OS/2 dollars"
(many people could agree to work for $300 or $500, per month)
But the chance was not used. There were technical tasls, but no investments.
The conditions of OS/2 support
A) Until the end of 2016, such conditions of OS/2 / eComStation / ArcaOS users support
are accepted:
1) company: eCo Software
2) we work by principle: "goodwill", "as far as possible".
We are interested answer to every question related to OS/2,
but our resources are restricted so we can process the request
"as far as possible".
3) the user should have access to Internet.
3.a) support by email only. Support by phone is not provided
3.b) we don't send CD with drivers and applications.
The users should get all updates via internet.
4) speed of processing: 1 - 7 days
5) minimal quality of reply:
we can send the link to FAQ collection, in other words
show our message which we have generated in the past
when discussing similar topic with other users.
B) Preliminary, In 2017 the conditions of OS/2 support will stay the same
as in 2016.
